A Word from Founder, Dee Ryan…

I designed Flying Solo Service to assist a person who have a distantsupport network or minimal to no support network. 

I was a single person living alone facing four (4) procedures in four (4) years, I learned all about the uncertainty and  the challeges faced before, during and after surgery. 

I had no one who could stay with me.  My children couldn’t stay with me due to their own commitments.  Having pets complicated thing further and friends who wanted to help, had their own lives and were unsure of what to do.  I was “flying solo” with minimal mobility the first two week after each surgery.  The nights were long and days were stressful.

A couple years later, I became caretaker for my aging parent and also helped a friend through Chemo.  All these situations showed me how crucial a reliable support network is and how being well-prepared removes the anxiety, stress and apprehension.
