A Note from Dee, Founder of Flying Solo
I started Flying Solo after navigating four major surgeries all the while living alone. Surgery is never easy and always overwhelming. Each time I often thought, “How am I going to manage this on my own?” On top of that, I had pets which added another layer of challenge.
Although my siblings, friends and kids lived close -they all had their own families, jobs and responsibilities. They could not just “hang around” with me til I felt better.
Later, I also cared for my aging parents and two close friends during their chemotherapy journeys. I witnessed first hand, how having daily support lighten their emotional and physical load providing them relief from worry knowing their responsibilities were being dealt with.

Birth is exciting but so exhausting! While you’ve prepped with a birthing plan, postpartum affects everyone. Let us handle light cleaning, errands, meals, laundry, and yard work so you can focus on resting, healing, and bonding with your baby.
We send a text when we’re on our way and when we leave so there are no suprises. A paper confirmation with date, time, and tasks is left on-site and included with the receipt in your statement. This keeps everything transparent for planning, time tracking, and billing.
